Anyways, "The Bar at Buena Vista" performance at Victoria Theatre on the 17th was smashing, baybehhh.. These horny ol men we're smoking them cigars as if it were candy, and yeah it was very hard not to miss this performance cause Cuban musicians are hard to come by in this part of the planet, especially those from the famed Buena Vista Social Club lor.. So yeah, it was worth the stash paid seeing these Havana natives like Eric Turro, Maestro Rubalcaba & Carlos Gonzales et al doing what they do best, which is the "descarga", which means the expression of the inner self through improvisation, which you might call a jam session where musicians gather in a bar to drink, tell stories and play with old friends, sometimes until the dawn.. And hey, we got to join it whoah.. haha..May Ibrahim Ferrer salsa well in his grave.
