I'm going to occasionally post the words to some of Quasimodo's songs, at least those presently available on the Purevolume site, and yes, we're working on refining some of our current creases, admittedly they are aplenty..
Can't see much progress in our hope of recording more music, cause the various personal commitments threaten to stretch the start of serious rehearsals to even early '07.

A Brief Synopsis of "Ode To You":
Behind the apparent suspicions of it being a love recital (note the title), is the apparent intent to hide the true sarcasm of the protagonist.. This song is essentially about a broken cause, of feelings torn to the point of no respite.
It pokes at the superficiality of urban relationships, where true feelings are often hidden beneath a canvas of lies and hypocrisy. Its even more resonant when the other has the protagonist wrapped around her finger, succumbing to her every whim & fancy, typical of relationships nowadays.
This is narrated within a backdrop of imagery comparing both nature & urbanity to create a contrast that not all things urban are as refined & civilised as it seems.
I'm thinking of posting my personal take on 10 notable albums for the past year('05), but lets see if time permits. Cheerio.

 Oh poor Jens Lekman! Where have you disappeared?? Have you floated past the horizon, like those "maple leaves" that you crooned of? Or have you put on your "pretty shoes" at last, and left us for good? Tried almost everywhere to get your record.. But to no avail. Don't you know that we Asians here are starved of your musings.. TO SAY THAT I'M ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED
would be an understatement. have to give up the Franz gig on the 16th. its a day before my Commissioning parade and obviously i can't be released. had hoped that they would be going to KL or sth but hey, only has-beens like Michael Learns To Rock congregate there I presume. but i found out that theres this fucking big gig in thailand called the BANGKOK 100 ROCK FESTIVAL 2006 featuring Oasis, FF, Ian Brown, Placebo, Maximo Park etc, 18-19 Feb at Changwattana Road, Bangkok. Precisely, where the hell is that? tickets go for 1k-3k Baht for 1 day passes (1k is ard S$41) and 1.7k-5k for both days.
